Just got a dad more time with his kid despite alienating mom's objections.

There are good guys and bad guys in this line of work. I like to think im in the former camp.
In today's case, it started out with the wife's lawyer instructing her to get a fraudulent TRO to get my guy out of the house and limit his parenting time. This is his MO which I've seen play out dozens of times. I would never do this because it harms a child who has no voice in the litigation.
I'm also taking over a case from a lawyer who billed his client $350k despite never having met her in person even once, taking no depositions, and doing zero trial preparation (trial has not even been scheduled).
The family law practice has more than its fair share of grifters preying on vulnerable people. It is a particularly immoral way to make a living because people are trusting you to guide them through a very difficult personal transition and, as noted above, children's lives are at stake.

are you a lawyer?
how could this possibly be done in cases involving large estates, child custody, etc? dealing with divorcing people is often insanely stressful because of how contentious it is, and you want to put the entire matter in a single state employee's hands? and how could you *BAN* these people from hiring representation?
this is perhaps the dumbest suggestion i've ever heard. it's not even a "shitlib" thing, it's just really fucking dumb.

"we should get rid of divorce attorneys"
"that wouldn't work"
"we should eliminate divorce entirely"
no, it's not responsive. it would be like if we were discussing a tax and you shifted to "we should eliminate taxes entirely."
anyway this is completely retarded and i'm sorry your wife left you but banning divorce isn't going to change that.

says the guy who thinks kids growing up in broken homes and a huge network of parasitic lawyers encouraging that process is a healthy and normal part of a well functioning society.
over/under - how many teenage girls do you think have been raped by the "new boyfriends" of the married mothers bloodacre manipulated into ruining their children's family? 200? 500? more than that? he is good at what he does and has been at this for some time.

I started this thread to share a rewarding moment. Do you think getting a father more time with his son is a bad thing?
I don’t have affairs.
My soccer dad posting is obvious schtick. You’re just dumb and emotional.

edit: but how many times have you been on the other side? how many times have you kept a father (or less likely, a mother) from his child based on the lies of your client? my sense is you're more mercenary than saint.
