Money isnt an issue my wife does an amazing job with the kids so she deserves every penny of what I earn bc she helped me get here. The kids absolutely love me. But the problem is she’s fighting tooth and nail to make sure I don’t get visits bc cheating was the one thing that was the worst thing in the world to her and she’s telling them I’m a bad person and her in laws are involved. I was allowed to see them at the fuckin mall once a week. We went to Lego store and I begged my 3 year old to buy him a Lego set. He kept telling me he had that one and that the one he really wanted a specific one but he already told Santa to bring it and SANTA is supposed to get it for him. Then he said he wanted a pretzel. So I take him to get a pretzel.
Two hours after my wife took him back home I get nasty texts from the whole family about what type of dad takes his kid to the Lego store and doesn’t buy him legos and he was devastated. And I know that’s not how it went down but I can’t win. I know when he got home they were all probably telling my 3 year old “daddy didn’t buy you Legos he’s a mean daddy.”
So what’s the point in trying to be close to them if I’m just gonna have my heart broken like that? Rather just move on and be a perv in my remaining few decades left on this earth. |

And I would just take all the hate from the other side. I would take the high road no matter how fucked up and insane they are, no matter how bad they treat you. Just take the punches. And just be as deferential and kind and whatever body blows you have to absorb and you just get destroyed over and over by these people and I would be an absolute rock and stand in the pocket and take all the shame and undeserved hate and all the lashings and over time somebody will get over it. And eventually you'll beat the lies and someone will say hey I remember my dad and he actually seemed like a good guy, and maybe the in-laws are insane but maybe they come back down to Earth eventually. Something will give on a long enough time span they will run out of energy to despise you and if your ex is really the crazy one your kids will figure it out eventually but this seems so much more worthwhile than giving up. Hos are overrated and you can always find another worthless slut but your kids only get one childhood and you want to be there when they figure out mom's an asshole and dad did nothing wrong.
