i saw 1 (twice!) and 2 and can nonetheless barely remember any of it.

Film is a visual medium and James Cameron is probably the greatest director of all time in terms of creating action set pieces.
These movies are bloated and the plot is mediocre at best, but when shit goes down they're amazing movies - especially on the big screen in 3d.
There isn't a Marvel movie that has close to the action staging as the 5th worse set piece in Avatar.
