Wife and I decided to run off to Vegas on a lark last week. I tabulated the damage.
Sunday-Tuesday we booked a room for $20 a night plus resort fee. Elevator stopped working for a bit, the safe was broken and they didn't fix it, and they didn't clean our room when we asked so I got the resort fee waived.
Tuesday-Thursday we booked a room for $15 a night plus resort fee. The sink backed up with foul smelling water so we got a room upgrade, and maintenance had to come up to get the hot water running in the replacement room, so I got the resort fee waived.
Thursday-Friday we booked a room for $20 a night plus resort fee. The pool was closed so we got the resort fee waived.
Great goysperience overall. Some of the rooms are pretty old and the lobbies still reek of smoke but you can mostly avoid it once you're checked in. Can't wait to take the kid here so he/she can appreciate the little proletarian luxuries of life.

What is this insanity? Who wants to go to Vegas for a whole week? Why did you switch hotels twice?
Out the TTT hotels you picked.

My wife and I wanted to drive down for a couple of days for fun but we decided to lengthen our stay so we could do more stuff (the Sphere, Ivanpah, Hoover Dam, Trump Tower and a couple of other cool hotels, Meowcat, Penn & Teller, Goodsprings) then finally departing in the day to get the solar arrays and Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.
We switched hotels every time we booked to get more fun hotel experiences. In retrospect, this strategy also lets you maximize resort fee waivers and probably saved us hundreds.
Luxor, Rio, Circus Circus.

stayed at Luxor one night while driving through Vegas on a road trip.
wasn't fancy, but at least clean.
the worst part was the AC couldn't quite keep up with the summer sun and heat, so by 9am the room got pretty warm and couldn't sleep in.
