Never seen a fresh Ubuntu install randomly barf and crash every 6 hours. Never had to rebuild a virtual environment from scratch because an app just decided to stop working one day. I guess that's what happens when all the devs are total degenerates trying to make virtual rape porn

im not sure i understand what you are even doing to have it crash

what is the action you do before the crash? run a workflow? build a workflow?

do you have a shitty cpu?

I load a template and download any missing model files to the appropriate directory. I make some images, go to bed, wake up and the thing won't load, I just get a bunch of error messages in the terminal window. Rebooting the PC fixed it this time, but when I tried on Debian it permafucked itself somehow. Installing Ubuntu and reinstalling ComfyUI was easier than diagnosing the issue.

out ur cpu/gpu/ram

and how many loads are u doing that you need to even go to sleep

i think one day i did like 500 and it took all night but it was done in the morning

honestly if it can finish one run, it should finish infinite so long as you have power and time

It's not doing anything while I sleep, I just make random images once in a while. Right now I'm trying to make "The Battle of Minneapolis" but getting shitty results.

The CPU is a 12600KF but I'm running Ubuntu server in a VM in Proxmox. I gave it six cores, 48gb RAM and a RTX 3090

Fuck Windows. As a backup I can run it fine in an LXC container, but then it's not "git enabled" so I can't switch versions or update shit.

If I cared about it enough I would unwrap my 5090 and mate it with the 14600k and 128gb of DDR5 I also haven't unwrapped. My real goal is to spread the workload to multiple GPUs so I don't need the 5090

oh also ensure your setup is using the GPU first and cpu as back up

i just remembered when i first ran this for some reason it was off and i had to go enable it

also ur cpu/gpu are kinda shitty so that could be another factor

you really do need a 5090 to have a completely smooth experience, if ur comp is having a hard time generating images (which take less than a second on my cpu) then ur gonna have a miserable time generating videos

I don't want to do videos, and right now I'm fine waiting 45 seconds for it to make a single image. I have a 5070 ti, so if I mate that with the 3090 I'll have 40gb of VRAM, in theory. Right now my CPU doesn't get hit to hard but my system RAM gets slammed on the reg

Thar she is with the 3090 and a 4070 that's doing nothing because I can't get distributed workloads to work. I'm not going to put the 5070 ti in there until I figure that out

I'm familiar with that issue but it only happens like three times per year. If file permissions in the VM got borked <24 hours after I installed it, I'm starting over from scratch with Fedora
