I stopped effortpoasting here because there’s pretty much nobody left here who cares about the sort of random thoughts and insights about the world that people like me like to think about and discuss for fun

In general, "engagement" online is a double edged sword. Many things I say on Twitter are extremely inflammatory and would get me banned, harassed, or worse if I had more than my small amount of followers. The best "engagement" I get on Twitter is in the form of private DMs with like minded people who I have connected with via my poasting.
