The entire apparatus was ostensibly built up to exclude me, but even its most ardent soldiers seem to defer to me as a handsome white man.
I would be awarded hard-to-get rentals when I showed up and was white and handsome. I got almost every job I interviewed for in person. Colleagues in the same position as me would quietly defer to me, or if they had enough rapport with me would confess, "yeah, you don't have to do unpleasant task X, Ill do it".
Ive had non-white and female lawyers ask me to deliver some bad news to a client that they had already delivered, saying "thdy will take it from you and accept it, not from me".
Ive noticed and enjoyed every time I benefitted. Im grateful my ancestors created this world for me.
There are many avenues that have been closed off to me: any type of job that is evaluated entirely online, and the previous low-effort sinecures of academics and government.
Those closed doors still make me irate (even tho I don't really care), and while too old to fight in the race war, I will still help fund it. |
