Not to sound like Cock of Michael Obama, but I feel like all of this shit makes more sense when viewed through a lens in which the elites see the nation state as a defunct concept. Rather they operate in the world through a series of inter-connected finance capitals that more or less operate as city-states.
Flooding the zone with hordes of obviously un-integratable migrants (invaders) serves only to keep the rabble occupied while the world is reshaped under their feet.
It is decidedly evil.

Germany is facing a perfect storm: high energy costs burdening manufacturers, weak demand for its exports in key markets, the emergence of China as an industrial rival and the US tariff onslaught.

Several things can be true at once:
1.) Significantly higher energy costs make it more expensive to manufacture highly engineered goods competitively
2.) Mass importation of African migrants who collect outsized welfare, relative to their % of the population, and who commit outsized violent crime, relative to their % of the population, can be a substantial drain on (already strained) resources
3.) Germany is still completely under the thumb of the US. We have thousands of troops there, so it isn't as though they have any real say in broader policy. And the US is more than happy to have Germany commit economic suicide via impossible renewable energy goals because it benefits the US economy in the medium-to-long term. Not to mention historical "Great Game" goals of ensuring that Germany and Russia to not lock arms.
Even if what you are saying was true - that people don't want German over-engineered products - adding huge numbers of unproductive people into the mix would still be a net negative.
