My medical job had terrible job market from 2008-2021. It was good if you were a private practice owner, you could hire cheap labor.. but since the market improved I van do just as well working directly for the hospital. Problem is if AI improves efficiency by 50%, job market will crater. Should I then retire after having a 5 year career (and missing out on all the wealth accumulation that even a 20yo cop couldve achieved by my age)?

Don't they need radiologists in Slovenia or whatever and won't be able to afford AI and you can get Bratislava apartment cheaply

Basically now job market is great but since I chose not to do the partnership track, if job market crashes(it went from best to worst in 2008 very quickly and did not recover for almost 15 years), I think I will just quit. A lot of people in my field are cucks but I've set up top 5% employed jobs. But I'll be very poor if this happens merely 2 years from now. My goal was to work until 50yo.

No. That's something to advice an 18yo. I literally would have to live off whatever I made during my short career. Because I'm not some cuck to continue working if pay ever goes down.

Lol not a chance of that happening. Without any ai, there are people who start their own practices and hire other doctors to work for them, the process is the same and competitive just like starting your hotel chain. If I firmly believed in stock market I'd say rather than buy a hotel business much better to buy qqq. But I'm not so sure we will not have another 2008. I'm buying bitcoins now

Ha? It will allow any efficiency gain by ai before allowing foreign doctors to work "supervised". It's just the easiest way to gain efficiency nationwide and hence create oversupply for my specialty. Only slight efficiency gain happened in 2008 due to proliferation of electronic medical records, and at the same time boomers stopped retiring and market went from best to worst in weeks, and did not recover for 15 years.
