signed 5yo for a golf class. they say he needs a putter, wedge, iron and driver. seems a bit much for a 5yo, like he's gonna know the difference between a 7I and a PW, but whatever.
golf fags say you cant just cut down shitty adult clubs bc the balance is different, and you need to buy kids sets. is this flame?
not gonna buy a $200-300 set on this kid who might not even like the class.

no it's not flame you dumbass. kids clubs are far lighter than adult/womens clubs cut down and young kids develop bad swing habits (mostly picking the club up instead of swinging back as first move) if the clubs are too heavy. also they will struggle to get the ball in the air and will develop a slice to compensate for that.
they don't need more than like 2-3 club and a putter. just buy a couple of top flite clubs at Dicks for $30 each or get a usa kids set on ebay.

no he isn't. make him play righty. being left handed doesn't mean you need to golf that way. in some ways it's better to be left hand dominant playing righty.

lance rafa nadal was righty but learned to play lefty.
there's various cases both ways in tennis.

nearly every pro plays righty, I'm sure some of them are left handed. best reverse example is that the best lefty golfer of all time is actually right handed.

wtf i had no idea phil is right handed.
google shows very few lefty golfers: bubba, wier and brian harman
that's such a small number. wonder if there's others like phil.
is there a reason to make a lefty play righty? the way the courses are set up?

back in the day it was really hard to find lefty equipment and it makes it more challenging for instruction.
Phil became lefty because he would stand facing his dad while the dad was practicing and would do a mirror image mimic.
Courses are all over the place. Augusta is the one that clearly favors leftys, so if you want your kid to get a seat at the champions dinner then maybe go that route.

i guess he's too young to tell if he's right or left eye dominant. left eye dominant imo is better playing righty because your head naturally will get into the proper position with your left eye over the ball.
