But I was obsessed with Transformers and wanted Optimus Prime more than anything. So my parents scrounged to get him for me -- the only wrapped toy I ever remember receiving, now that I think about it. I remember excitedly tearing open the package to find that what they actually bought me was the brand new Ultra Magnus instead of Optimus Prime. I hadn't even seen the movie. So I started crying, which must have disappointed my dad terribly, who didn't understand it at all. I doubt my dad even earned $250/wk back then, and the toy was $25 (now that I look it up).
