the entire world right now, but especially the west, is being stymied by entrenched institutions that are essentially invulnerable to reform or displacement, even if the popular will is there to do something about them. AI is a catalyst powerful enough to enable individual and smaller group actors to actually threaten these institutions
without a catalyst on the power level of AI, the human race is in big, big trouble - probably doomed |
