When Jobs an Woz were selling computers out of their garage they lived in like a $20,000 house in SV. Rent was what, 100 bucks max if they wanted to move out?
How can anyone start a company with rent and food prices and insurance costs so high. The labor participation is actually bad. We'd be better off if 5% of the workforce could afford to hang out and dream up new ideas.

maybe tell ur buddy Elon to stop importing h1b's, which drive up the price of housing while simultaneously driving down tech salaries.
they don't care about the housing because they'll just live 20 to a studio apartment.
