Nice. Love Ibanez. High quality construction, versatile modern tones and always super comfortable to play. They always punch above their weight and somehow still slept on. My first bass was an entry level p-bass style. I’ve been close many times to buying an SR series.

Rockish stuff. Helps me write songs when I can lay down a bass line. I just do guitar in my band so I relearned the major/pentatonic scale modes for a 6 string so I would be able to use the extra strings. It’s pretty similar looking patterns:

Nice. Would love to hear your songs if you’ve recorded anything.

I see the appeal of the 5 string. Adds new positions on the neck to play stuff and a few extra notes.

Maybe if I had one and played it regularly I’d get used to it but it just feels awkward and uncomfortable to me whenever I play one.

One day when I have some spare cash and some more room I would love one of these: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BTB865SCWKL--ibanez-bass-workshop-btb865sc-5-string-bass-guitar-weathered-black-low-gloss
