when is AI going to start doing damage control, writing articles about how harmoniously it fits into our lives and how everything will be fine.

I'm just riding the gravy train while it still lasts. Making 200k working from home doing by far the easiest kind of programming ("business") was 180 while it lasted. If my future is a Bucees attendant I can't complain, such is life and I've already reaped more than my fair share of easy white collar work

Yeah but it doesn’t have to be that way. Just transition into something that’s still “hard” maybe even borderline research territory now and within a few years you’ll be doing an “easy programming business” still out of reach to others

I have been doing business crud for like 7 years, no way in fuck am I going to get anywhere near "borderline research territory" skills in middle age. I'm not a real codemo like ragnus

I'm just too retarded, unfortunately. Big boy programming is pretty hard, despite what xo might think. AI development really only magnifies the gap, it doesn't narrow it

Honestly better for you not to understand any of it, because if you did you might start getting uppity and thinking you know better than the Machine Daddy. Just pick the most difficult research topic you can formulate coherent questions for, fire up a minimal agentive setup with strong guardrails and let it rip.
