Something stung my big toe in the ocean this am. I have a small scratch along lateral malleolus but the big toe feels like a cobra beat it. Entire leg feels weak. Do not see any tentacles.

Why nigger? I actually thought I got bit by manowar before(felt like some razor brushed against my skin) but apparently not. This one just feels like a snake bit my toe and it's now just stabilized but basically feels the same as if I have an infection in there. I once drained an ingrown toe nail abscess and it felt the same

I actually did not stick around and went straight for shore because I heard sometimes a shark bite feels like that. When came to shore it was obvious it but saw only 1 or 2 beached portuguese. I swam before where I saw them in the water and avoided getting stuck. I've never got stick like that and almost 5 years I'm miami.

Weird on reddit I do not see anything in the news that they're active now. But found a post that someone got bit on the penis and remover a dime sized tentacle. I did not find any tentacles on my foot. Will go for a drink now and then take a jacuzzi before bed so hopefully that big toe bursts and back to normal then.

I think so. I never had any problems in Mediterranean. I just checked the beachline and did not even see any, I remember last year avoiding them in the water. So maybe it's some weird ocean creature
