All Mohammed had to do was give clear instructions on what to do in case he died. Instead he talked about everything BUT that.
The fact is he probably did want to found some sort of dynasty, but he couldn't just say that. So shiites are probably honoring his wishes in that respect, but none of that is in keeping with what God actually says in the Koran. It also seems like a huge mistake to trust your religion to a dynasty, since dynasties inevitably produce retards. Shiites conveniently avoid having to confront this issue though, at least as a practical matter.
