So you agree it changed. First sentence in your post.
That change is part of the curse of the golem.
If you summon the golem you might get what you want in the short term, but it will always destroy everything in the end. Moral of the Yiddish story— don’t invoke the golem.
I really can’t explain it any simpler.

god you're dumb as fuck and your dunning-kruger arrogance on top of it is so frustrating.
as the poaster above pointed out, tony being the golem is obvious to the audience. who else would shlomo even be referring to?
but the show goes out of its way to show that shlomo and ariel are just as corrupt as tony and not simply victims of invocating the golem despite their kvetching. shlomo is trying to screw ariel out of how rightful stake in the hotel, and willing to use violence to do it. then, he tries to screw tony when ariel offers to take 15%, which is obviously a side deal cut due to tony's pressure.
later when we see the state of the motel, the show again goes out of its way to show the audience that ariel isn't simply the victim of golem tony as he uses the prostitutes as well.
all of this is made very obvious to the viewer, and it's crazy that you think you have some special insight about this. and what's worse is that despite your haughtiness you still seem to have missed what the show spoonfed to the audience.
boy, you sure are dumb spaceporn.
