"Judge declines to sign off on charges against former CNN anchor Don Lemon

i've been skeptical of the theory against Lemon. what did he do that warrants arrest? the arrest of the interruptors is easy to justify.
still, if you would, give me the name of the Magistrate Judge who denied the request. and tell if that very Magistrate was on record saying he wanted to oppose Trump.

can some crim law masterman explain this? Harmeet says COA says there *was* PC to arrest Don Lemon but the court declines to order the magistrate to sign the warrant.

ljl, can any cons elaborate on this "clear error" doctrine? I didn't go to University of Chicago, so I thought "abuse of discretion" was the customary standard of review for these things

looks like the 8th ruled that DOJ has another avenue -- asking the USDC judge below to reject the Magistrate's ruling, so the DOJ's request for appellate relief is premature.
one of the appellate judges wanted to let the court below know that he sees an easy PC issue. who knows if the other two appellate judges see it that way.
the presiding judge below, Schiltz, was dealing with his mentally disabled kid when DOJ asked for a quick reversal of the Magistrate judge's decision.
