Emma Hackney, 29, a Southern Methodist University law graduate and attorney at Jackson Walker LLP, was pronounced dead at the scene following the sudden impact in uptown Dallas on Sunday evening.
According to police, Piyush "Preston" Patel, 26, was driving his 2025 Tesla with his mother in the passenger seat when he lost control at high speed and rear-ended Hackney's Porsche.
