Why is he hated so much?
Question ❓ OK, so I have come across the trumpeter Kurt Thompson a few times on my internet travels. He owns a website, a YouTube page and is banned from posting in this subreddit. He is also banned from numerous Facebook groups so he posts his videos under a few pseudonyms. He also has (at last count) five or six different subreddits of his own creation (no subscribers) where all he does is post his videos. He tends to post his videos over and over again (his Frankenstein video alone was posted on 14 subreddits). He claims to be an excellent teacher and has numerous online classes you can sign up for.
I do not know anything about him except he seems so dang egotistical about his ability to play. I personally don't like his sound but I think that is an issue with his recording technique more then anything else.
Anybody care to fill me in why he is hated so much?
joshrzepka • 4y ago He’s a well documented misogynist, racist, homophobic, anti-semitic, a**-hole. He trash talks everyone who has anything critical to say about him, including some of the nicest professionals in the field who can play circles around him in their sleep.
Due to his behavior he’s established himself as a person 98% of the brass world wants nothing to do with.
