they aren't even closely related. There's 0.00% overlap in vocabulary, grammar, all of it. They are almost the inverse in terms of difficulty curve too. Indo is easy to pick up, hard to master (most native speakers can't do it) whereas they say Tagalog is the opposite. I don't know for sure because I never sampled it but I trust the folks who said it to me
