What do these people think Christ is king of? When did he become a king?

18 He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.”
20 And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? 21 It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened.”

In Christian theology Jesus is God incarnate. Fully God and fully man. If the Christ is king then God is king. Anyway, this kingdom stuff is noise. It was pushed by the jews who couldn’t conceive of any other kind of role for the messiah. The kingdom of God is within you is what Jesus said. It’s an intangible that saves the world as if by leavening. It’s the catalyst that changes everything. The jews couldn’t understand it. They wanted a slayer of Romans.
