Young gamers in Japan may not be forming the same attachment to Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest because modern dev cycles are as long as their childhood, users theorize

There will never be another "Starcraft". We no longer have the technology.

Ive purchase a video game and it ends up in my backlog, a decade passes in the blink of an eye and its third iteration will have been out for a couple years before i even begin

Like, I obtained Dark Souls 1 3x (original, remastered, pirate/ds3 fix version) without ever beating the first stage. I bought DS2 and DS3 and I have never installed them

Im currently tackling Nioh 1, I legitimately spent 4 hours of my Sunday trying to beat ONE shitty water level stage, and the third installment game just came out. Who has time for all thsi

Nioh 1 came out in 2017 and the third one is out in 2026, that is an insane amnt of time, but considering how fucking hard these shitty games are I dont mind it lol, fuck zoomers theyre all brown retards anyway

Young gamers see games as social hangouts, they just move from game to game based on what their favorite streamers are playing. Millennials and older see games as coherent artistic experiences, so 28 years later they're still playing Ocarina of Time and so on. Neither view is necessarily better than the other, but that's the essence of the generational divide.
