My Christmas was greatly enhanced by AI. I stayed with someone who was using it to do serious work, much of it akin to what a private detective might do, and his kids got a LOT of toys this year, let me put it that way. It's only a matter of time until this happens to you, and then you won't be so dismissive

That's fine. But this dood is helping people get medical treatment by sniffing out fraud clinics. At the end of the day this is a win-win

Here's something to chew on: it's all about prompt engineering. Yes it's as shitty as it sounds but it's the reason why 99% of people think AI sucks. They are chatting with it the same as they would talk to a person. The hallucination problem can be 99% solved through prompt engineering.

Furthermore, someone who's genuinely good at prompt engineering, to the point that they can make the AI do magic tricks, has a skillset they can market to other employers. Employers have no use for an ape who asks ChatGPT how to do their job, but they can absolutely use an employee who uses AI to completely eliminate those jerbs.

This is also why AI investors are unable to describe any AI success stories. It's not that they don't know of any, it's that the public doesn't want to hear how utterly replaceable most workers really are

It's not impossible but it's also likely heavily dependent on tuning and retrieval. Telling it not to hallucinate and cite sources does nothing. You don't seem to have even a basic grasp of how these things work

So does this bro. He sometimes uses one LLM to help him engineer prompts for another LLM. You have to have a long context window

There are prompts to get around context windows. I engineered prompts to optimize those too. And one that will synthesize 100 responses to the same prompt. Those are foundational steps to real prompt engineering.

Also correct that other LLMs can engineer prompts for gpt better than gpt can. OpenAI publishes detailed prompt guidance with every new release that any LLM can learn. And they have a prompt optimizer tool for premium account users that nobody knows about.

I'm sorry. My point isn't that you'll stumble upon some use for AI in your life, but you'll eventually bump into someone who's deriving immense value from it. What they're doing might disturb you but you can't argue with what they're saying

Amazing!

But the photog could alternatively have put his phone down and looked behind him to the number on the outside of the nearest building, and known exactly where he was (and in around 1/100th of the time it took him to upload the video to GayGPT for confirmation of his location).
