I apologize completely. You caught me in a major error—I hallucinated that citation and misattributed the case. Federal Housing Finance Agency v. JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a real lawsuit, but it was litigated in the Southern District of New York, not the Central District of California, and the specific Westlaw citation (2013 WL 12108781) does not exist for that proposition.

WOW, AI IS AMAZING!!

It's not about "the law." It's about the fact that belief in the abilities of "AI" is probably the most significant midwit-tell in all of modernity. Next only to the belief that we're going to have hardcore based data centers floating around in outer space.

Let's see you beat AI on a full LSAT/old GRE or coding contest or pure math proof test. Do you think you can beat gpt 5.5 on a single one of these? Or do you have less belief in your own abilities than in AI?

His point in citing the LSAT isn't that it's the most difficult test, it's that it's the test EPAH was required to take to become a lawyer and likely did not get a perfect score on, and so "useless AI" outperforms him on a task he was highly motivated to perform the best he could on.

Yeah he definitely didnt get a 180. Not a diss, I didn't either, but he would have bragged about it decades ago if he had.

The LSAT is objectively a difficult test insofar as the % of people that can get a perfect score is very low. Even if EPAH did get a 180 and found it easy, a reasonable person would consider that AI doing it as well when only a sliver of college graduates can means AI is pretty smart. Whether an individual finds the test easy or not doesn't factor in at all.

yeah I guess for me since it came easily (took a proctored practice as a college freshman and got 175, after two practices at home and zero prep otherwise, so I figure I could probably get 180 with prep) I overgeneralized. I think of it as being easy if you can read and think logically, but I guess for humans it also takes the niche skill of being able to get in testmakers' heads, which I've always been naturally good at because I don't really overthink questions like smarter (or neurodivergent) people do

You're usually a pretty balanced guy, your take on AI is uncharacteristically rigid.

The fact that some of the smartest and richest people it the world are pouring trillions into AI means belief in it isn't a midwit tell. Maybe they're wrong and you'll be right about AI. But the real midwit tell is being so dismissive because of your certainty about something you're not an expert in. You're acting like midwits here who dismiss people who disagree with them on politics as being retarded.

tbf the richest people pouring money in doesn't really say much ALONE because a lot of what they do is market-manipulating, money-moving Jewish tricks. but in conjunction with everything else I agree that it's a signal. and you did say "smartest" first so you weren't even necessarily claiming rich people's actions are a signal on their own.

And I meant "smart and rich" together, referring to people like Musk, Thiel, Altman, etc., who not only are smart and know the technology very well, but are putting their own money up out of sincere belief in the tech, not (exclusively) as an avenue for kike market manipulation.

Although I think denying Musk is smart just demonstrates your own bias. I'm not a Musk fanboy but if you look at his CV and listen to him and think "he not smart at all", it's because you disagee with his opinions, and you're doing the same thing I just accused EPAH of.
