On balance, I kind of prefer things just being easy and having enough understanding to know even the smart ones are dumb and that none of this shit really matters

intelligence has less inherent value than attractiveness because e.g. a hot girl gets rewarded just by existing. a smart guy who smokes meth and works at a gas station does not benefit from being intelligent. but the guy working at a gas station has far more opportunities and experiences available to him should he so choose to pursue them. the hot girl is hot, she cannot become a neurosurgeon or geoguessr world champion or whatever the fuck. |
