Those circular pill cases used to be ubiquitous. Seems like it went out of style along with flip phones.

All the women we associate with are bitching about perimenopause or full blown menopause these days

Sure but they weren't on the pill 10 years ago, nor are law teens in 2026.

Those circle pill cases used to be on every bedstand and it just occurred to me I probably havent seen one since the Bish era.

didn't you say you're married? where would you be seeing this?

based on a very limited sample I agree though. I wonder if it's because people are having less sex or realized the side effects weren't worth it compared to condoms/pulling out or what.

Remember in Seinfeld (best show of all time featuring the besf comedian of all time) when Elaine talks about her diaphram popping out of her purse? It's like that. Even though I'm married I still exist in the world. I've caught glimpses of tampoons and shit when a colleague rifles through her purse, but no pills.

interesting. you mentioned bedstands which gave potential cheatmo vibes

I've also noticed in my very limited sample (1) that the woman's weight distribution improved a fuckton in the years she went off BC, which made me think there might be something to the xo meme about how BC makes women boxy. she also chilled out a ton (unrelated to the BC) so it could've just been the lower cortisol. she always had T&A and a great WHR but is now a classic hourglass from the front, almost obscenely fertile looking, whereas before it was more just the side angle that showed that all off

Never cheatmoed and never would. However we are debaucherous so I've ethically been exposed to what BC women other than my wife use.

Everything else you said rings true. I don't hyperanalyze it like people on xo but I've definitely heard other women talk about fewer side effects with things other than the pill.

I wonder if IUDs and shit are more popular because they're more convenient or because there's fewer side effects? It seems like they're better all around which is likely why I haven't seen a circular pillbox since Obama was a senator.

18000000 debauchery

my understanding is that IUDs come with their own significant side effects. even the non-hormonal ones get metal in your bloodstream and shit. last I checked, at least... maybe the tech has improved.
