I was trying to find a Reddit thread on how proles/idiots/Scum ignore me irl mid conversation (irl not text) even if it’s one they started. Instead i ran across 1000k of these about texts and the responses are like “it’s nothing personal, people get busy.”
I laugh heartily at this cope. With Text, people were given a way to express “you suck champ” through sheer passive aggression. It’s too easy for them to do this and so they do. Good for them. You’re not interesting, you suck, you’re Low Status and nobody cares about your texts you stupid fucking redditors.

We are Friends and Colleagues imo but you take this stuff too personally
Text responsiveness is a chore once the novelty of the medium wears off. I long for the (literal) days of handwritten correspondence at times
This does exist and is a good point to make though. I will say that it seems to be a pre-COVID thing in many ways and does not exist quite so much with Zoomers as it does elder Millennials
