He's 70 which is a good age for it because you know you aren't committing to a super long papacy but it still leaves enough time to get some papal initiatives and momentum going.
not sure if they can really get to 80+ votes for him after Francis. My guess is the conservatives are more driven than ever right now. |

I can't think of a less transparent bet than the next pope given everything is shrouded in secrecy, there are no polls, there is little to no info about who is even going to campaign for it (which I assume they do but there is also no info about that), there are no public statements from any cardinals about who they support, etc.
