The Russians used actual loudspeakers to blast recordings of cargo planes landing to fool the Japanese. Every single time the Japanese made a move they stepped in shit like the villain in a bugs bunny cartoon, until it all ended with a big cinematic crescendo of tanks ripping Japan's most elite warriors to shreds. Nothing like it has happened since though Russia had some really decisive wins in early 2023 that transformed that war too.
