Portsmouth is like a touristy town you go for a day trip. But at the end of the day it's New Hampshire.
Parts of Cape i was thinking of are Dennis, Brewster, Orleans. Low key, lots of locals and community, it's not tourists. Tons of nature around, beaches obviously, etc. Ppl are very shitlib, but in a hippy 70/80/90s naive lib way. |

The north side is all SFHs, so it was fine. Last year we went to Chatham and drove through south part (Harwich, Yarmouth) and it was depressing as fuck.
The cities I mentioned + Eastham + Wellfleet are 180. |
