It's like when people thought JP, who clearly did a pretty good job with the "Stan" parody, did a better job. If there is such a thing as an objectively wrong aesthetic judgment, it's that.
IDK, people just more strongly respond to the idea of lots of memes in a parody, I think, than faithfulness to meter. Another issue is that it's just hard to follow along with fast verses.
