Well I have dabbled in multiple women at a time and honestly most of the time the idea in your head is better than the reality, who wants to deal with more than one birdbrain? These periods of running through a lot of women are really outliers as most of my post-college life has been in LTRs, this is just what happens in between serious relationships and as I have said in previous threads I see going out with as many women as possible as the most efficient sorting mechanism to find the next one I want to actually date. Sure, girls like this one I don't see going anywhere, but I do like her as a friend and while the search is ongoing, keeping FWB in the fold is necessary even though objectively it's probably not super great to string them along and toy with their emotions. I don't see just amassing #s as a goal and going out all the time is exhausting. While the thrill of the chase and the whole getting to know you period is fun, who TF wants to go out with multiple new girls/week forever? You mentioned a modest sized roster, but fuck my man...I am in some degree of engagement with several dozen women at any given time and trying to figure out the logistics of where and when I will be able to see them, remembering who I told what to and just the sheer volume of texting, calls, facetime required to keep all these balls in the air...it's a lot. Then when some of them know you're in NY for only a few days and they don't see you, they get MAF. Need to triage though because you can't go out every night and you can't see them all if you're home for three days.

Drugs have just never really appealed to me to a big degree. I have seen enough people seriously fuck their lives up sure, but from the drop it was just on it's face obvious that going down certain paths wouldn't end well, and I have no desire to engage in self destruction so, good old drinking is enough for me.

Love of sports is rooted in a love of playing sports and competing. Gambling always felt degenerate and stupid and like a weak behavior that more often than not leads to ruin. The house always wins and no one likes losing money.

Many people don't. While I don't have an outwardly imposed structure from a job, I wouldn't say my life isn't regimented. A lot of the people i've seen with too much $ and no responsibilities fall apart because they have no interests, not even in something easy like travel. They just want to stay in one place where people know who they are, with the people they know and slowly burn themselves to the ground. I somewhat autistically plan what I am going to do every day 10-11 months in advance. Obviously this is subject to change with circumstances, but if you ask me now where I will be on Nov 23rd next year for example, where I am sleeping, where i'll dine and what I plan to do, I can give you a pretty complete picture of how that day is going to go and who I will see and what i'll do. I spend a lot of time with friends and family and have hobbies that require me to be in certain places, at certain times, and I plan around that a lot. So while it seems like empty leisure, I always feel like there's never enough time to get in everything I want to do.

How though? Like I said, I go out with these girls sorting through them looking for the next LTR when in between relationships. You'd have to buy a lot of first date glasses of wine or vodka sodas to spend that much $. After you've fucked enough very attractive women there's no novelty. It sets a baseline, like OK if this girl doesn't fit X Y and Z criteria then I am not interested in talking to her, but it's a floor. From there you have to get to know them and see how it goes. It's increasingly a hellscape in the era of social media because their brains are just so blown out. I feel like you're generally just looking for someone with flaws you can accept. Like OK she's a little dumb but makes up for it with other good qualities. Or she's a bit insane but aren't they all!

I think how laid out my path has been is what causes me to doubt how well I’d do with your extreme degree of opportunity and freedom. The other vices I’d probably be fine with, but I love women and might go off the rails there. And I’ve joked with you about it repeatedly, I don’t think I could keep up with maintenance the roster requires. (E.g., Was this one at that event? Have I texted the other one back? Is her brother the one from the skeet tournament or the Moab 4s4 day?)
