Quick example: when I hold doors for women, it's a total crapshoot as to whether I get stony-faced indifference or a quick thank-you. And most people don't even seem willing to grab doors for others anymore. At the same time, things like the prevalence of panhandlers and pieces of shit who blast phone audio into plane cabins and shuttles has exploded. |
