Date: October 16th, 2024 10:10 AM Author: the jewish relationship with money austin is ttt and i dont see that changing. the whole appeal was that its a smaller, kooky town and its supposed to be cheaper and more laid back than coastal cities.
instead, austin is too big now. i think it will continue to grow and just become like every other texas city. its now more expensive than houston and dallas, which aren't great, but at least offer better amenities and a high population to find connections. austin now has a ton of elon fanbois and middling tech guys and who couldnt make it in SF/NYC. also the indians who live in north austin who wanted to save money
oh, and its hot af for half the year. i guess if you never go outside anyway its not a big deal. but id rather have a 4 month winter and wear a coat in a real city than deal with 6 months of 95+ and humid. |
