Some places around there to consider along with Aix, where I have never really spent any time are Cap Ferrat, San Remo (Italy), Portofino + Santa Margharita Ligure, Antibes (Hotel du Cap especially), Villa La Coste (in Aix), Cassis, Vence (I am currently at the Oetker property here for a detox break and it's 180000), Gordes. Nimes is also a surprisingly nice small city with some Roman history. Also could maybe do 1 night in Menton to eat at Mirazur. Can also reco some good spots in the town. In Marseille it's AM par Alexandre Mazzia and Le Petit Nice. Le Petit Nice is in a history (1917 vintage?) relais & chateau property of the same name and it's in the 6e of Marseille which feels more beach town than city. Going there for 1-2pm arrival, relax by the pool, walk around the hood, have dinner in-house, then go to bed and leave the next day would be fine.
