Went in to buy a Volvo at the Volvo dealer (Persian/iranian owned dealer, Indian sales rep) and trade in an old bmw and these clowns said the screen was all grey when they looked at it. They offered me a lowball amount for the car. I said that’s odd, I’ve never seen that happen to the screen in 8 years. We went out to look at the car and the screen worked fine. They then showed me a photo on the guys phone with the screen greyed out. I noticed the car also showed an alert for low key FOB battery, which had not been on when o drove to the dealer. I told them they were lairs and said what are the odds that this issue only appears at the exact moment they are looking at the car without me, and then can’t be reproduced. They then said ok forget about the screen, and increased offer $2k, still low and I walked out. When I got home I found that the key fob has an energizer battery but I always put another generic brand in my keys after buying the batteries in bulk. These clowns faked the photo of the screen obviously.

I expect this kind of behavior from no name used car dealers not from a major brand dealer
