By far the most important economic policy question for the next four years is “extend Trump tax cuts or nah?” and Biden will of course let them lapse and then add more taxes on hedge funds and cap gains in order to pay for a larger SALT deduction and mortgage interest deduction (which is the much more simple, obvious and politically advantageous route to make sure housing prices stay unaffordable for youngs and wealth maximizing for boomers).
