i have 100% my money divided equally among 3 different firms' S&P index funds (fidelity, vanguard, charles schwab)

rate the shrewdness of this strategy

Where are they located?

Isn't there a big risk of owning so many properties in a single market?

who manages them?

Yes, the point of diversifying is to make sure that all the companies go up in value at the same time.

The thing is, tech companies are so diversified themselves now that investing in one is like owning a mutual fund. Buy AMZN or GOOGL and you’re invested in like 30 different industries. The biggest risk is if they’re doing accounting fraud.

i'd do this:

25% VOO

25% SMH

25% VGT

25% SCHD

VGT's annualized returns over the last 10-15 years are fucking insane, like 22%. SMH too. i know that could always change, but they've been doing well for years.
