Date: July 25th, 2026 1:47 PM Author: Appetizing Umber Party Of The First Part the first warped tour had a 180 lineup. it was all hc/post hc bands - CIV, quicksand, orange 9 mm, sick of it all (RIP lou), etc.
it went to shit quickly after that. i went to it in 1997 (the third one) and the lineup was garbage like limp bizkit and other trash like that. i did see the specials and descendents there that year, but other than that it was awful. |

Date: July 26th, 2026 4:48 PM Author: Appetizing Umber Party Of The First Part oh, another couple of stories about the THIC venue (electric factory) - i saw morrissey there in 1997 on the maladjusted tour. i followed him around the east coast and saw him like 7 times on that tour. at the philly date, i was right up against the stage barrier and this girl was in front of me screaming about it and started yelling "THERE ARE A BUNCH OF ORDINARY BOYS CROWDING ME" ("ordinary boys" is a song on his first solo album). i lit up a cig and blew it into her face the whole cigarette.
in 2002, when the DC sniper thing was going on, i went to see Wilco there. i remember telling the guy i drove with not to stop for gas until we got into delaware. i was absolutely terrified at that time. had my curtains drawn and not flame i drove into the heart of DC to get gas. when we got to the show, i saw Horatio Sanz from SNL in the crowd, which was pretty funny.
electric factory is a great venue. i saw kraftwerk there last march with poasters not flame. the venue changed its name to franklin something or other.
the trocadero was a great venue in philly too. i saw a skinhead (with a hitler tattoo on his neck) shoot at this band called Fury of Five there, but that's a story for another day. |

It’s an insurance defense firm we have cases against and I believe they are repping one of my former clients (Honda), I can’t believe there’s 5 lawyers in this room on a Sunday night at 10:15 pm. |

Date: August 2nd, 2026 3:02 AM Author: chandler (retired) No I was off to the side near the barrier in the VIP section. Warped was brutally hot even though it was by the ocean. I’ve never burnt in my life while wearing a ton of sunscreen until last weekend.
I never listened to Dustin talk about mars hill but I assume they just had a ton of money coming in and offered him a job where he was paid so much that he stopped the band. They collapsed spectacularly when the head of it was found to be an XO poaster. |
