I have like $4.5 millionish in assets to my name but most of it is locked up in three properties and 401Ks and shit. I’m not sitting on liquid millions. I also have partners in the lab business (2 doctors) so it’s not like any of us want to pour our own liquid assets into a partnership if we can get affordable financing and risk other people’s money or the entity’s money. We have about a million total of our own money in the business and SBA loans for the rest. My actual cash contribution to this thing was $144k and a lot of sweat equity since the doctors do no work and I handle every legal and business thing they can’t be bothered with. My entire stake is still just under 25%.
Anyway…you’re doing life wrong if you aren’t leveraged at least somewhat. I could probably be doing more real estate shit but can’t be bothered. Honestly hate it. |
