But then you don't have another movie next week. You're done. You can't crank out a blockbuster every week. |

Now take a band like Pearl Jam that likely own everything outright by this stage and do a stiff business of touring and merch. They make a killing and everyone knows they did it their own way and weren't some prefab corporate nonsense. They're crushing it financially. |

Now figure a lot of bands tour 200 nights a year. It really adds up. And these are bands with niche audiences. Now imagine you have any type of household recognition it just goes up from there. The hard part is getting famous and developing an act people want to see, but if you can find a few thousand people in every city who want to hear you over and over you're going to live in a giant house and your kids will never go hungry.
