Date: October 11th, 2024 7:59 PM Author: Comical den these cases are a bit harder to prove than an alcohol dui (since there's no clear legal limit like 0.08+ where you're presumed to be too impaired to drive), and when I did misdemeanors the DAs were afraid to take those cases to trial. So I would set all of them for trial and the DAs would eventually make good offers that clients would usually take (plea to less serious charges like wet reckless or public intoxication).
That's changed now that the DAs have more experience with these cases |
