It looks like this mini tour is set up to gauge how much fan interest there is. His Spotify numbers are excellent. Looks like show tickets are going for around $50 which is on the low side. Millennials are Poor.
I think he should come out with a new album next year, tour it, and see if it does well. I don't think he'd be invited to When We Were Young right now. Still too much heat on him. That may die down. I think majority of fans are ready to forgive and move on but Millennial rock fans are like the prime MeToo demographic and I think he's still got a lot of bridges to mend. I'm for his return but I think it will take time to heal. |

He would hang out with them on the tour bus, make them feel special, go out to dinner with them, and tease them, make sexual comments, and hug them.
One said he demanded nudes from her when she was 15 and she did because she felt scared of him or something. Another girl said he forcibly kissed her and it was unwanted. Another chick says that when people found out about her online he cut her off without explanation for a long time.
If the chicks were all 18+ it would just be scummy rockstar guy manipulated women around the country but 15 is very young. No one has come forward though and said that he banged them. But still pretty weird for a 29 year old guy to be hanging out on a tourbus with 15 year olds and telling them when you turn 18 we'll get married and shit like that.
Idk make your own interpretation. The now-adult women seem credible and aren't asking for money or pressing charges. They just felt used and manipulated. I think the question is if his persistent tactics didn't work on the three who have come forward did they work on a whole bunch of others? Seems like he was just really into chicks in high school which is pretty gross by today's standards. If you don't care, you don't care. But the fanbase is pretty sensitive.
He also disappeared for 8 years so probably seems like he sat out his punishment by now. |
