A genie makes you the following offer:

200 pounds of high qulaity, uncut cocaine will magically appear at any location you choose. You must then drive that cocaine to 48 US states. After you reach your 48th state, you will get $8M tax free.

The genie is neutral on police, cartel, and activity insofar as none will know of the cocaine or be looking for it or you (in relation to the hypo, at least) at the beginning of the hypo. But, the genie offers no protection from law enforcement, cartels, or gangs if you get on any radars once the hypo begins.

Do you accept? What's your strategy?

What moral reasons? You don't have to deliver the cocaine to any dealers or users.

What's your stragey if you take the deal?

Uhaul seems conspicious and unnecessary. Why not a regular car/minivan/SUV? It would be more comfortable to drive and easier to drive safely.

Disagree. In particular, for a white or Asian driver (i.e., most of XO) driving a reasonably nice but inconspicuous car, like a newish Toyota and obeying traffic laws.

I've driven cross country multiple times. We (me and the friends/GFs I drove with) were only pulled over once or twice across many thousands of cross-country driving miles. The single time I was pulled over as the driver on one of those trips, I was probably going 85 in a 70 in an area I now know was heavily policed.

Were you going the speed limit? What's suspicious about you? Even in low-traffic areas, I-95 gets thousands of cars per day, most (even most with OOS plates) aren't getting pulled over.

Did they ever search your car? You could package the cocaine such that a human wouldn't be able to smell it if you got pulled over, unlike 200 pounds of weed, which would be very tough to mask.

absolutely. rent one of those big mercedes touring vans so that even in the unlikely event it is ever found there is still some plausible deniability that it’s yours. package it up beyond airtight and then weld it shut into metal containers made to be concealed in the van’s storage areas. customize the van as necessary so that these containers are seamlessly integrated into the rest of the upholstery. you’re advantaged over normal mules in that the packaging, extraction, and eventual condition of the cocaine do not have to meet any efficiency or quality standards. pack up your family and take them on a cross-country road trip (which explains the rented van). obey all traffic rules. i would be surprised if an optimized path to drive into every state is much more than 10k miles. you could be done in two weeks.

The only way this is really difficult is if FLOCK cameras have nationalized to the point that police would be alerted to you driving a zany zig-zag route across the country. The risk/reward seems fine otherwise.

I’ve road tripped all over the country and have been pulled over zero times. The only real risk is from a traffic accident. Getting pwned because of some fender bender with a lunatic Baltimore driver on I-95 would be an infuriating way to end this challenge.

I doubt national networks using flock cameras are flagging regular people with no prior history or flags in the system to have local PD pull them over.

A fender bender wouldn't necessary send you to prison. If you can drive the car away after, nbd. Even if you can't, if you have the coke in a few suitcases or boxes, you can still have a good shot of getting out of there.

TCR is pack the coke into lead-lined 1/4"-thick steel boxes that you weld onto various portions of the body. Wear a polo and drive the shortest route thru all 50 states in a car you're comfortable driving. For me, that's an F-150 raptor.

Not that much. Here's 111 pounds: https://www.westernslopenow.com/news/111-pounds-of-cocaine-found-hidden-in-vehicle/

You could easily fit 200 pounds in a few suitcases.

I'm in. I'd buy a brand new sprinter van and increase the floor height by about 1 inch. That should be plenty of space for a lead-lined compartment for the product and would not be noticeable whatsoever. I'd convert the back to a "living space" and then do a youtube video about hitting all 48 contiguous US states in some sort of van life video with my hot organic fiancee.

This is fucking retarded

If you take a route that has any sort of checkpoint, you already fucked up

Also, if they happen to scan your van, sure, they're not going to immediately see your packages of drugs. But they are going to see that your Sprinter van has some weird lead-lined false floor...

Easy. I'd do it for like $2 million. Not to "self out" but I'm a white chad.

I'd cop a new Explorer, put on a state police license plate holder, cop some aviators, drive the speed limit during daylight hours, and PROFIT. 0.00 chance of getting pulled over.

Lol, this is less than 8,500 miles and can be covered in less than 6 continuous days of driving. (https://www.smartertravel.com/shortest-road-trip-route-through-the-states/)

If you're caught, yes you're going federal and yes it's (A)-level, but everyone here but benzo is criminal history category I and safety-valve eligible. Your inability to proffer will hurt you, so you might want to consider thinking of a local biggie you can credibly but non-dangerously finger if you're caught. (This isn't that hard. For the most part they just catch that person with new drugs; they won't actually prosecute them for your drugs, and thus you're never outted.) Do it right and you're likely looking at something south of 3 years. Obviously do not bring a gun.

Obviously the goal is to not get pulled over, but mostly to not get pulled over by a K-9 unit (largely random, although there are some "drug corridors" that get funding for this type of interdiction stop) or, if you're pulled over, not get searched or have a K-9 unit called in. Drive during the day only, drive 4-5 over the speed limit, be White, stay in decent hotels, and don't pick something stupid as your vehicle. I would go with a single owned vehicle rather than trying to rent in different states to avoid the OOS tags.

I would load everything (I'm assuming the genie gives this shit to us in the standard airtight kilo packaging) totally separate from your car into rubbermaid containers and keep the packages fully submerged in shampoo. Obviously no guarantees, but that at least gives you a chance if they happen to run a dog around the outside.

I was wrong, you can do it in substantially less than 8500 miles

Still though, that route that your AI slop site cooked up? If you add up the 6 segments it's 15,057 miles, not 8,496

Largely CR until the shampoo part. You'd need a lot of shampoo to cover 200 pounds of cocaine, and your car reeking of tresseme is going to raise some eyebrows.

Yeah I assume there's a better way to do it. I saw this work small-scale once (beat the K-9; case was a setup so dude went down anyway), basically using successive wrapping with a layer of shampoo in between one set of wrappings.

I obviously assume that it would be very hard to successfully mask the amount we're talking about, but I think it'd be irresponsible not to give it a try, and K-9 scent masking is >> more important than not having something modestly visually suspicious.

And of course acting chill when pulled over is important. Crimdefs bitch about it always being fake when the report talks about sweatiness and stammering, but clearly cops do key off of nervous behavior. And stupid as fuck travel plans (that aren't consistent with your traveling buddy's, although I would do this solo).

I think I could do it successfully, but it's not worth the risk to me. $8M would be nice, and I guess I could technically retire, but I probably wouldn't. And being in prison would be very bad. Although I guess Martin Shkreli served 4 years in federal prison and seems fine, maybe it would be OK if I could go to the kosher one in NY (because I assume you don't get shanked there).

Great hypo OP.

In my 20s and early 30s I would’ve 100% did this. Being older now and with kids, I wouldn’t take the risk. Also, prison really sucks I’ve heard. A 2% or whatever chance of spending rest of my life there is too much to take.
