Funny story. I have an ongoing relationship with a woman whom I began dating when we were in the 11th grade. While we haven't had carnal knowledge of each other in recent years there's still a simmering tension between us. For instance she has to do her hair for over an hour just to see me because she wants to maintain the image in my mind that she's still beautiful and perfect like she was when we were 16.
At any rate the reason I bring this up is that in the entire time I have known her spanning high school to college through our adult years we have never once in all that time ever had a single conversation about money, career, job, or what either of us does for money. I don't have a clue what her career is. I have never asked, and she has never asked me.
I think love is about the emotion and connection two people have for each other. The rest of it doesn't matter.
