i think all the extra weight i gained was due to stress-induced eating. i was incredibly stressed out for months and ate to temporarily relieve the stress. but the stress has become more manageable recently, which has allowed me to control my eating
losing weight actually seems pretty easy as long as you eat the right food and there aren't any huge stressors or other big issues in your life. i'm eating a shitload of of fiber (beans, whole wheat foods), a lot of protein (chicken, protein bars, and greek yogurt), and some fruits/vegetables |

Also, figure out your macros and then structure your carbs immediately before and after hard activity like squats. That will give you much better results. |

the goal is to burn around 1,000 calories per day through exercise.
the deficit of 800-1000+ calories per day is not sustainable, so i'm adding this to my diet:
protein bar first thing in the morning (190 calories)
one cup of organic nonfat Greek yogurt for lunch (150 calories)
one tablespoon of organic olive oil with dinner (120 calories)
one banana before weight workouts (100 calories)
this brings the deficit to around 400-500 calories per day.
"cheat meal" once every other week. |

i bike 7-8 miles most days now. plan for today is 14 miles. want to go up to 20+ miles eventually.
skinfold caliper says my gut is at 38 mm. highest it's measured is 47 mm, lowest it's measured is 35 mm. |

no idea how many lbs i lost since i'm not using a scale, only skinfold calipers. skinfold 3" from the belly button measured around 45 mm when i started. today it's at 22 mm. |

OP mentioned losing 20-25 lbs, but it must’ve been more like 35+. should’ve weighed myself at the beginning. i’ve been using only skinfold calipers the entire time. |
