Seemingly not taboo at my firm. Associates and partners have talked about it openly even in front of me as a summer associate. Joking and talking about it approvingly. I'm sure it depends on the company though. One associate is widely known as being fond of weed. The firm has somewhat of a party culture.
However despite all this, I haven't yet seen or heard of co-workers toking together. I think the talk is bigger than any reality. |

if you've ever been to a biglaw office on fri between 4-6 the number of unscheduled visitors showing up at both associates and partners' offices for 5-10 min meetings is pretty funny. |
