Been a bit overwhelmed by the number of projects I'm working on and all the work I put into my primary firm. Then I had a vision of a little Indian man in my ear. He said his name was Tommy and he told me that I had enough already.
I never really listened to this little voice before, but then I realized that I have about 14 million NW (obviously market went down recently), and I'll be taking another 4 million in salary end of Q4 (I skipped salary in Q3). Even if my wife and I never worked again, we could spend 2% of our NW (assuming 15 million) and spend 300K/year. At that rate, our NW would continue to grow. And our expenses are only 150k/year.
It was at that point I realized, brothers, that I won. I have enough. Was a 180 feeling. No reason to ever stress again.
Ok, well I need to get back to work now. Lots of settlements to negotiate if I want to retire by 40!

CSLG, you have enough projects going on that managing your wealth would keep you very well occupied I think.
I think you could also just do something in the way of seminars and stuff and get other people to pay you travel around and give talks and stuff for big $$$. This would give you ongoing income.
Also, if you get 7 or 8 more rent houses in the next year and a half as you have been doing, you should be grossing like $50,000 a month just in rents. Even assuming you have cap ex, insurance, and tax costs that are 60%, that's still $240,000 in income generation per annum. I know some of this goes to your kids, but it's not bad at all.
Also, in the future, even in a pinch, you have all of these houses that you could borrow against for some kind of major casualty anyway.
I think you have built yourself a very diversified and strong portfolio and if you don't want to work past 40, then you do not have to.

1) are you embarrassed about your last name? it's a very lowly profession
2) congrats on making so much money that's awesome and inspirational for all of us. I hope you can enjoy retirement which you will never do bc its super easy for you to just continue making money so why post this shit?
3) exploiting fatherless men is shameful. one of them is going to give you a reckoning. please beware.
